Two years after the release of "Pause to play" (https://youtu.be/Je3yDuyJc24), The Beatles decided to work on a new album that would be released in November 1980. Lennon decided to return to music and came back in style leading the group with four great songs that are the best of the album, called "Wheels go round" in reference to the song "Watching the wheels", a satire of the criticism received for his dedication to family life. The album reached number one in the best charts in Europe and America. The first two singles from the album, both by Lennon, "(Just like) Starting over/Not guilty" and "Woman/Goodnight tonight", would reach number 1 in the British and American charts. McCartney continued his prolific life as a composer with 5 very commercial songs, and, although the single "Coming up/Faster" reached number 1 in the USA, it did not do so in the UK. The fourth single "Blow away/Waterfalls" also did not reach number 1 in the charts. It is, however, a great album, led on this occasion by Lennon's high musical quality, and will be ed because it was the last LP he worked on, as he would be murdered a month after its publication, and because it was the first work in which Ringo Starr did not manage to introduce any song.
