Following the murder of John Lennon in December 1980, and the publication of "Wheels go round" (https://youtu.be/LqyhAPMj3XU), the rest of the of The Beatles decided to isolate themselves from the music scene for three years. Finally, in 1984, they decided to work on an album that would mark the final dissolution of the group, using recordings of Lennon made before his death. The album, called "All Those Years Ago", features two songs dedicated to John: "All Those Years Ago" by Harrison and "Here Today" by McCartney. Eagerly awaited by all their fans, the album was number 1 in sales in America and Europe for several weeks, despite lacking the quality of previous works. The first two singles "Nobody Told Me/Life Itself" and "Pipes of Peace/Wake Up My Love" reached number one in the British and American charts. The posthumous single "All Those Years Ago/Here Today" also remained at the top of the charts for several weeks. After this album, Paul, George and Ringo decide to end The Beatles brand and continue their solo careers.
