Christians are called to live uniquely and with purpose in a world filled with superficiality. In this present world, we are like pilgrims, not settlers, en route to our heavenly home. As we through, we leave in our wake the aroma of Christ and a human flourishing built on the teachings of His Word. Our motivation to press on as pilgrims is rooted in the truths of our coming salvation. In verses 13-25 of his first chapter, the Apostle Peter argues for the sensibility of holy living given the awesomeness of our salvation and the appeal of a Holy God into whose family we have been born.
