Today's Scripture Reading comes from The Book of Psalms Chapter 27 and verse 4 which says: One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple We pray that the Lord would bless everyone who is listening to this program; and that he would make his face shine upon them, and be gracious to them, and give them his peace. In Jesus’ name! Amen. Psalms 27:4tells us that the one and most important thing in David’s life was to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. But why was that so important? Listen to verses 1-4: Bear in mind that he was in the wilderness seeking refuge from his enemies; yet his heart was in the tabernacle, seeking the beauty of the Lord. In his struggles and tribulations, he was able to appreciate the goodness and beauty of the Lord. Many times, you hear the testimonies of people who were put in prison; and in the midst of their punishment, they would surrender their Will to the Lord. It is there and then that they recognize the beauty, the goodness, and the mercy of the Lord. 636d3e
