This Barcelona-based filmmaker takes us on an eclectic and exotic journey through the sounds of the past and the present. The idea of my show is to create a time-warping musical tour. I’d like each show to feel very eclectic in of genres and styles but each different song played should have similarities between them, be it through sounds or feelings. Like life itself where everyday is a different day but as a whole they all form a completely rich and unique experience. To start off most of my shows will be approached as if they where a film, or better said an experimental abstract film, with no real narrative but which leaves one with a specific feeling. And each show will be directed by my feelings at that moment. Sometimes it might feel more moody, or mellow, mystical or spiritual, and other days it might feel very upbeat, energetic and uplifting. And sometimes both! This said I do plan to prepare some more narrative based shows such as recorded travel diaries, specific themes, old family mix tapes, as well as inviting guests on the show to share music, words and thoughts with. Pop y Muerte Los grandes genios de la historia siempre han estado fuera de su tiempo. O mejor en contra de él. Kiko Amat (1971) y Benja Villegas (1982), también conocidos como Pop y Muerte, se conocieron en la radio hace cinco años, y no han dejado de parlotear desde aquel día. Podcasters-que-no-han-escuchado-podcasts, a estos dos hijos de la periferia barcelonesa les une el amor por la cultura popular, la nerdidad no-cursi y la erudición outsider. En Pop y Muerte aplican su innato amor por la oralidad (dicho de otro modo: decir paridas en público) y un notable discurso pop, derivado de sortear una educación formal y sustituirla por discos, cómics, films y libros flipantes.
